IRA Board Member Request and Agreement Form

The IRA Board of Directors serves to fulfill the goals of the organization as well as to sustain and support its member councils/affiliates.  Board members are committed to the wellbeing of councils and interested in the issues confronted by council/affiliate members.

Board members can be requested to attend council/affiliate conferences and other professional development events, leadership workshops, and executive meetings.  

The Executive Unit will be in touch with the Council/Affiliate chair after they have confirmed with the Board member that they are available on the dates requested.

If the Board member(s) is unavailable on the requested dates, the Board Administrator will let the Council/Affiliate chair to explore other options.

Travel Information

Expenses: Please note that IRA only covers the cost of AIRFARE for ONE board member per meeting ALL other expenses are covered by the council/affiliate for the board member once they arrive at the airport (ground transportation to and from airport, hotel, registration, ALL meals, etc.). Also, some Board members may request the council/affiliate pay ALL their expenses.
 
Travel Expenses that the council/affiliate will cover:
  • Conference registration
  • Hotel
  • All meals
  • Transportation to/from air/train terminal to lodging
