INTERFAITH SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (ISIP) 2014 APPLICATION

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Thursday, March 6, 2014 by 5pm EST
 
1. Please visit the Pace Center website to learn more about the details and requirements of the program.

2. Each student is eligible to apply to any of the organizations, however, you must submit a separate personal statement for each organization to which you apply. Seniors are not eligible to apply.

3. If you close the application before clicking SUBMIT at the bottom of the page, your entries will not be saved. Please be prepared to complete the application, including pasting personal statements and uploading your resume, at one time. We recommend reading through the entire application so that you can record and prepare all the required documents in advance.

4. After you've clicked SUBMIT at the bottom of the application to submit your application, you will receive an email confirmation that we have received it.

A personal statement for each organization, 250-500 words in length. See Personal Statements section below for specific prompts. 

A one-page resume that includes a clear outline of your education, work history, public service experience (on- and off-campus) and relevant skills. Career Services has many resources to aid with writing resumes.

Applicant Information

Graduating seniors are not eligible for ISIP Internships.

Confidential Information

The following information will not be shared with any third parties, including internship organizations and alumni interviewers.  It is for internal use only.
Applicants must be enrolled at Princeton during the spring semester in order to be eligible for an internship.  If you are not enrolled, we will not be able to accept your application.
Information from other offices at Princeton, e.g. residential colleges, Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students, or others, may be requested as part of the application review process to ensure that all students can have a safe and productive experience. Decisions on individual applications are made on a case by case basis.

Optional Information

The following items are optional for you to complete. No information you provide in this section will be used in a discriminatory manner. The responses allow us to better track and manage our PICS applicant pool.  The information received is not shared with our sponsor organizations and has no impact on intern placement decisions.
If yes and you are applying to ISIP, please be aware that as most ISIP interns become employees of the sponsor organizations, students must be legally able to work in the United States.

Academic Background

If you have not declared your major, please fill in your intended major. If no Certificate(s) and/or Honor(s)/Award(s), please fill in N/A.

References

Please provide the name and contact information for two references (no peer or family references) who could be contacted if necessary.  Common references include professors,  lecturers, on-campus employers, coaches, former employers, or high school teachers.  We would prefer that one reference be from a Princeton University faculty or staff member, including preceptors and coaches.  

References may be contacted by University staff and/or internship organization staff.


Resume

Please upload a one-page resume that includes a clear outline of your education, work history, public service experience (on and off campus) and relevant skills.

We cannot make any changes to the resume after submission, so please be sure that the information is correct and complete.

You must name your resume as follows: LastName_FirstName_Resume.pdf. For example:
 
Schneider_Evan_Resume.pdf
 
Do not label it "ISIP" or "Pace" or "My Resume". We have many ISIP Applicants, and we need to be able to distinguish your resume from others so that the organizations can easily read all resumes.

Before you upload your resume, please make sure that your resume is saved as a PDF and named using the format:

For each ISIP organization please indicate if you are interested in applying by either checking or not next to the name of the organiztion (Note: You may apply to multiple organizations).
 
If you check next to an organization, you will be asked to upload a sepperate personal statement for that organization.

Personal Statement

For each organization to which you are applying, write a personal statement (250-500 words) addressing the points indicated below.

Your personal statement(s) should address the following
1.  Why are you interested in ISIP?
2.  Why do you want to work in this particular area and with this organization? Explain your understanding of the issues that this organization addresses.
3.  How have your academic studies, work and personal experiences prepared you to work with this organization?
 
When saving your personal statements to be uploaded, make sure that you save them as a pdf and use the abbreviations above in the name of the saved file. Save your file in this format:

Internship Application Agreement

Please do not complete the Internship Application Agreement section until you have fully completed the application, including pasting personal statements for all the internships to which you've applied.
