I agree to provide this cat with proper food, shelter and water available at all times. I am the person responsible for this cat’s care for the duration of his/her stay with me.
I agree to keep this cat in my home at all times for the duration of his/her stay with me and not transfer him or her to any other party. The cat will be kept securely indoors, with screens in my windows that are never opened (either bottom or top), and without access to back yards, balconies, terraces, fire escapes, rooftops or public hallways.
I agree to keep this cat separated from any other animals in the household until such time as it is agreed otherwise.
I understand that the cat may take a period of time to adjust to his or her new surroundings. I will notify elena bass or sean whalen of any adjustment difficulties and ask for assistance if there are problems.
I agree to notify elena or sean immediately of any unusual symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, runny eyes, weight loss, hair loss, scratching, vomiting, lethargy, diarrhea, loss of appetite, blood in stool, straining in the litter box, urinating outside the litter box, fever, etc.
I agree to make arrangements for cat care if I go away on vacation or business, or to notify elena or sean so that arrangements can be made for my absence.
If I am unable to continue to care for this cat for any reason, I will notify elena bass or sean whalen, making every effort to keep him or her for a reasonable amount of time until elena or sean can make alternate arrangements.
If i decide during the course of the foster period that i wish to adopt this cat, i will submit a standard adoption application and pay a standard adoption fee, less any cost incurred by myself for the care of this cat during the foster period.
I am comfortable with, and committed to, communicating regularly with the S.I. Feral Initiative regarding this cat's progress and well being for the duration of his/her stay with me.
Failure to abide by my commitments under this agreement, or any other mistreatment of the fostered cat(s) shall constitute a violation of this contract and the cat(s) shall be returned upon demand.
