S.H.A.P.E.

God’s word says that every believer is given a spiritual gift. Each gift has equal value in God’s eyes. Gifts are given for the common good, not only for the gifted person’s benefit. Spiritual gifts are a part of your unique S.H.A.P.E. (Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experience). This inventory will help you identify your spiritual gifts. Biblical references for spiritual gifts are found in I Corinthians 12, I Peter 4:9-11, Romans 12:1-8, and Ephesians 4:7-13.

Step One: Pray for God to give you wisdom in discerning your spiritual gifts.

Step Two: Carefully read the description of the spiritual gifts listed below. Then, choose the number that resonates with your own experience in ministry, with five (5) being the number that is most like you, and one (1) being the number that is least like you. Also, consider the following questions:

Does this describe me? What have others affirmed in me?
