Liability
The exhibitor acknowledges and agrees not to assert any claim, under any circumstances, against Teachers Make the Difference, MetroTech, or any other contractors for the loss, theft, damage, or destruction of goods, or for any injury to themselves or their employees. No claims will be made for damages of any kind, including those arising from the failure to provide exhibit space, removal of the exhibit, or failure to hold the conference as scheduled. The exhibitor understands that neither Teachers Make the Difference nor MetroTech maintains insurance covering the exhibitor's property, and it is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor to obtain such insurance.
Unoccupied Space
If any rented exhibitor space remains unoccupied on the opening day or is forfeited due to non-payment, Teachers Make the Difference reserves the right to rent that space to another exhibitor or to utilize it for any purpose deemed fit without incurring any liability. This provision does not relieve the exhibitor of the obligation to pay the full amount specified in the space rental agreement if Teachers Make the Difference does not resell the space.
Acceptability of Exhibits
Any alterations to the exhibit space, such as adding extra tables, necessitate prior approval from the Conference Coordinator or the Exhibit Coordinator. Teachers Make the Difference reserves the right to refuse exhibit space to any company it finds objectionable or incompatible with the company's mission. Moreover, Teachers Make the Difference reserves the right to require exhibitors to remove promotional materials considered objectionable.
Damage to Property
Exhibitors are responsible for any damage caused to building floors, walls, columns, tables, or any other property of MetroTech. Exhibitors are prohibited from applying paint, lacquer, adhesive, or any other coating to building columns, floors, walls, or tables.
Fire, Safety, and Health
The exhibitor agrees to assume full responsibility for compliance with local, city, and state fire, safety, and health ordinances regarding the installation and operation of equipment. The exhibitor is responsible for necessary fire precautions.
Shipping, Internet & Electrical
Shipping of small boxes is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. All relevant instructions and forms will be emailed by the Exhibit Coordinator no later than one month before the event. MetroTech will handle electricity and internet connectivity.
Cancellations
In the event of written notification of the intent to cancel received by the Exhibits Coordinator 30 days prior to the event, a voucher for exhibiting at another Conference will be provided, valid for up to 3 years. No refunds will be granted, with exceptions made for death or government-ordered lockdowns. All storage and handling charges due to failure to remove exhibit materials at the conclusion of the move-out period are the responsibility of the exhibitor. If move-in and move-out are not conducted during the scheduled time, a fee may be assessed.
Sponsorship and/or Exhibitor Agreement
Tables are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. No applications will be considered without payment. Payment processing does not guarantee acceptance into the show or space availability. Notwithstanding any other provision in this agreement, if the exhibitor is not accepted or space is unavailable, the exhibitor's payment will be promptly refunded by Teachers Make the Difference. By submitting this agreement, you agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined.
