**Please read the following as the registration process has changed.**

 
The class registration is now located underneath each class description. When a class is full, register using the waiting list. If there is a cancellation, those on the waiting list will be moved into the class in the order they registered. We will notify you if you have been moved into the class. 
 
**Tenured teachers: You may take up to two full-credit (CCSD/UW) classes per semester.**
 
**Non-tenured teachers: Until induction requirements have been met, you may take one full-credit (CCSD/UW) class per semester in addition to one new hire induction class.**
 
**New Hires: Teachers hired this school year may take one full-credit (CCSD/UW) class per semester in addition to completing the Essentials for Teaching and Learning class.**
 

Attendance and Participation Requirements:

  • Attendance for the first class is a requirement. Exceptions may be permitted for medical or significant school-related issues.
  • Prior instructor approval for any absence is mandatory.
  • If you do not successfully complete a full-credit course due to absences or missing coursework, you will not be permitted to take any full-credit classes the following semester.
  • Full-credit courses may only be taken once for credit.

Participants will leave with a solid understanding of several ABA strategies and how to implement them within the classroom setting.  Strategies include:  discrete trial training, pivotal response training, incidental/naturalistic teaching, and verbal behavior.  You will learn several different data collection methods as it pertains to measuring progress on procedures.  Areas in which ABA strategies can be implemented are: academic, behavior, social interaction, communication, and independent functioning.

G Suite for Education (GSE)  is a free suite of tools that enables users to create, edit, share, and collaborate, anytime, anywhere. This online course will introduce you to the G Suite for Education apps with a focus on helping teachers and students share and learn together in innovative ways.

This class will provide a classroom focus for GSE. Apps to be covered include: Google Docs, Sheets, Drive and Google Add-ons, along with Schoology Integration. 

This course will have a mandatory 2 hour course introduction on Tuesday, September 29 at 4:15. The remainder of our class time will be entirely online with weekly requirements/deadlines throughout. You will work at your own pace, but classwork must be completed by the weekly due date.

This book is Campbell County School District's primary resource for teaching guided reading. You will be working with your students for many of your assignments and learning new tools for planning and implementing guided reading in your classrooms.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer -- 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Course content also includes CCSD suicide prevention policy and recommendations for educators. 


This course meets the requirements for suicide prevention training required under the Jason Flatt Act.

 
 
**Please note Certified Staff will not receive Action Lab credit until they complete their 8 hours, then they will receive 3 Action Lab Credits*
 
**The Jason Flatt Act requires eight-hours every four years.  Therefore, you can use this course to meet some of those required hours even if you have already completed the QPR course in the past.
 
A minimum of 4 participants must be signed up to avoid cancellation.
