Upload Letter of Institutional Commitment
Candidates need to submit one letter from their home institution supporting their proposal to join the fellowship program.The applicants' current institution should provide a document on institutional letterhead that describes its commitment to the candidate and to the candidate’s career development. It is also essential to document the institution's commitment to allow the candidate a leave of absence for the spring semester of the fellowship period (January through May 2023) to focus exclusively on the LEAD fellowship curriculum activities, during the period in residence in Cambridge, MA.
The letter should generally document the institution’s agreement to provide adequate time, support, equipment, facilities, and resources to the candidate for career development activities following the full curriculum period at Harvard.
Signatures: The institutional commitment must be dated and signed by the person who is authorized to commit the institution to the agreements and assurances listed above. The signature must appear over the signer's name and title at the end of the statement. If the candidate will be working outside of the applicant institution (i.e., sponsoring institution), signatures from both the applicant/sponsoring institution and host institutions are required.
Letter of Mentor Commitment
Candidates need to submit one letter from their institutional mentor supporting their proposal to join the fellowship program.The mentor must document their role and willingness to participate in the project and explain how they will contribute to the development of the candidate's career. The letter should include all of the following:
