The International Literacy Association relies on a complete and accurate annual Alpha Upsilon Alpha (AUA) report to ensure effective communicaton with your chapter leadership team throughout the year.
It is recommended that the AUA Advisor completes the annual report as they are the official liaison to ILA. If the Advisor is unable to do so, the President should submit the online report by the required due date.
.
To maintain good standing with ILA, the following must be completed:
- AUA 2024 -2025 report must be submitted electronically by June 1, 2024. Sections marked with an asterisk are required fields.
- AUA Chapters are required to provide contact information for the three faculty members whose major academic responsibility resides in the area of reading/language arts or a closely related area. (Advisor, President and Secretary). Note: ILA should be notified should any changes occur during the term.
- All Leaders must be current ILA members and maintain membership throughout their entire leadership term. In addition, a $12 annual dues is required to maintain AUA membership status.
- A current AUA membership roster is required. (Refer to the Excel template link below).ILA recommends the chapter maintain a minimum of 20 members.
- If ILA does not receive an AUA report by the due date, the society will be considered inactive until ILA is contacted. This may cause your affiliation with ILA to be in jeopardy.
Important Reminders:
- If all positions have not been filled by the due date, it is recommended that the information you have be submitted. Additional information can be emailed to chapters@reading.org as it becomes available.
- There are several ways to join ILA -(online, by telephone, or by mail).
