Intent to Contribute

Are you interested in supporting the 2025 Governor's STEM Competition? If so, you can sign to be a speaker, an in-kind donator, a sponsor of a promotional table, or a judge for the competition. As a speaker, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and insights with our attendees. As an in-kind donator, you will provide your business' promotional item(s) that will be used in the students' swag bags. As a sponsor of a promotional table, you will showcase your products or services and interact with potential students of your program or employees of your business. As a judge for the competition, you can evaluate student projects in person, virtually, or both. Fill out the form below to indicate your preferred option and we will get back to you soon.

Terms and Conditions

If your business would like to contribute an in-kind donation to the 2025 Governor's STEM competition, please read and agree to the following terms and conditions. By providing a service or goods to the competition, you grant us the right to use your business name, information and logo on the competition t-shirts and event brochure. You also acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the quality and delivery of your service or goods, and that we are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your donation. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding your donation, and to indemnify us from any claims or disputes related to your donation. By making an in-kind donation, you support our mission to promote STEM education and inspire the next generation of innovators.
As an in-person judge for the 2025 STEM Competition Finals, you will play a vital role in evaluating the projects and providing feedback to the participants. You will be assigned to a category that matches your background and expertise, and you will review the projects based on a set of criteria that measures their creativity, originality, relevance, and quality. You will also have the chance to interact with the students and ask them questions about their work. Your scores and comments will help determine the winners of the competition and recognize their achievements.
As a virtual judge for the STEM competition, you will have the opportunity to evaluate the projects and provide feedback to the participants from the comfort of your home or office. You will be assigned to a category that matches your background and expertise, and you will review the projects online based on a set of criteria that measures their creativity, originality, relevance, and quality. Your scores and comments will help determine the top 20 teams that will be invited to the Finals.
As a hybrid judge for the STEM competition, you will enjoy a unique role: you will assess the projects and give feedback to the participants both online and onsite. You will be assigned to a category that suits your background and expertise, and you will review the projects in two rounds. In Round 1, you will evaluate the projects online based on a set of criteria that measures their creativity, originality, relevance, and quality. In Round 2, you will judge a different group of projects that you can interact with before providing final scores. Your scores and comments will help select the winners of the competition and celebrate their achievements.
As a judge for the 2025 Governor's STEM Competition, you will score students' STEM prototypes on these criteria:
 
- Creativity, application, and design
- Relevance and impact for Pennsylvania
- Inclusion and accessibility using universal design
- Adherence and documentation using engineering process
- Collaboration and engagement with local businesses/industries
- Effectiveness and professionalism of video presentations
- Contribution and communication of individual roles
- Attractiveness and informativeness of digital posters
- Knowledge, effort, innovation, and compliance
 
You will use a rubric to score each criterion from 1 to 5. You will also give feedback and suggestions to the students. You will respect their work and not use it for your benefit. You will be honest, fair, and impartial.
 
You will follow the rules and instructions of the competition, in addition to attending a mandatory judges training. By accepting this, you agree to these terms.
