Thank you for your interest in proposing a new service opportunity in the community. Before completing this form, please keep in mind that we are looking for proposals that demonstrate:

  1. Feasibility (Is this project realistic given community need and capacity and student interest and capacity?)
  2. Awareness of context (Is there an understanding of cultural sensitivity, positionality, history of the issue and/or place?)
  3. Partnership (What is the level of involvement, capacity and commitment from the community partner and others on or off campus?)
  4. Awareness of risk (Consider harm to the community and others. What considerations have been given to ensure minimal risk?)
  5. Please note that new projects are being considered for fall 2025 or later

Please consider the following to ensure your proposal meets the criteria for new service projects. The Propose a New Service Group webpage has additional resources for this process.

  • How does the proposed service project reflect the Pace Center’s Partnership Principles?
  • How does the proposed service project meet an identified community need? What research was done to examine the community and the issues facing the community?
  • How will the proposed service project create a sustainable engagement with the community?
  • How does the proposed project reflect the values of sustained community engagement? (See (SVC Values) (Community House values)

Should you need more discussion before submitting your service project proposal, email Dave Brown at db1@princeton.edu.

If you are ready to submit your proposed service project, complete the form below. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday March 14, 2024.

All students participating in Pace Center-sponsored service activities are required to be in good disciplinary standing. In submitting this proposal for a new service group, I permit the Pace Center for Civic Engagement to inquire about my student disciplinary records at Princeton, and I permit the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students (ODUS) to release such records to the Pace Center. Information from other offices at Princeton, e.g. residential colleges or others, may be requested as part of the review process to ensure that all students have a safe and productive experience. I understand that any information received by the Pace Center will not be released to other students or any third parties. *
