Each of these handmade kits and items was made by the BWS community, to help bring a little Winter Fair spirit into each of our homes. May they delight at the holidays, and help fill Winter days with fun and hands-on activities for the whole family.

Silk Scarf Plant-Dyeing Kit in Three Colors

These jars are filled with magic! You can't come to the Silk Dye room this year, so it will come to you...and as usual, you'll not only have an experience, you'll have a beautiful one-of-a-kind silk scarf as well.

Each kit contains:

One approximately 6" x 50" rolled-hem pure silk scarf, pre-mordanted and ready for dyeing
A mason jar for the dye bath
Plants, extracts, and other materials for the dye
Nuts, stones, and a piece of string for shibori tying to create patterns
Instructions, a Waldorf verse, and tips on experimenting with other plant dyes

Home Beeswax Candle Dipping Kit

Candle dipping is part of being a Waldorf kid, why should we let the pandemic stop us? This kit has everything you need to make at least two beeswax taper candles and at least 3 tea lights.

All you need is your stove, a pot for boiling water (which will NOT get ruined), aluminum foil, and paper/cardboard to protect your floor from wax...everything else is in this kit!

Origami Crane Kit

Origami cranes are a classic, and you can tuck them into the tree as holiday ornaments, or set them on any surface for timeless decor. This kit will include enough paper for 8 colorful origami cranes with instructions. Ages 5+, with maybe a bit of help for the littlest ones.

Handmade jump ropes are sturdy, colorful, and so versatile! Every family needs a few around, they pull toys and help make forts and are also good for jumping rope of course. And, they make great gifts. A few families have been making jump ropes for all of us, so we don't have to miss out this year!

BWS Anniversary Tealights, Set of Three

An homage to the bees living on the roof of the building, these adorable beeswax tea lights were commissioned for BWS's 15th Anniversary celebration event, planned for late Spring of 2020. As we know, life had other plans...but we can still light a candle (or three) in honor of BWS. Very fragrant, long burning, standard tea light size.
