Change of Dog and Cat Details

Use this form to notify Townsville City Council about any changes to your existing dog registration or cat approval details.

Request for refund
Animal fees (Dogs only*) – If your registered dog has died or been desexed on or before 28 February of the current registration period, you can apply for a partial refund of the registration fee.
Please note, if advising Council after 28 February that your dog has died before 28 February, proof of death is required (vet certificate, pet cremation certificate etc.) in order for a partial refund to be processed.
 
*Cats are not elligible for refunds upon becoming desexed/deceased as they come under a small fee approval to the property, unlike dogs who hold a registration.
 
Registration payments made through council’s website (using BPoint) will be refunded to the card used to make the payment.  All other payments will be refunded by direct bank deposit.

We are collecting your personal information in accordance with Local Law 2 Animal Management 2011 and the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008. The information will be used to process this application, renewal registrations, locate owners of rescued dogs, and inform any potential compliance actions in relation to this activity. Generally, we will not disclose your personal information outside of Council unless we are required to do so by law, or unless you give your consent to this disclosure.
