Important Information

  • All applications require a photocopy, or scanned and emailed copy, of both sides of the pensioner’s current signed Queensland "Pensioner Concession Card” or DVA Veteran Card (All Conditions within Australia) or DVA Veteran Card (Totally & Permanently Incapacitated). 
  • If applying with a DVA Veteran Card, please bring a second form of identification. Suitable identification includes a signed bank card, photo identification such as a driver's license or a utilities bill showing applicant’s full name and address.
  • Seniors Cards and Health Care Cards are not eligible.
  • Please note Temporary Pension Cards/Confirmation of Concession Form cannot be accepted due to the short expiry period.
  • A separate pension application form is required for each individual.
  • All applications are subject to approval under the conditions of Council's Pensioner Transport Subsidy Scheme.
  • Magnetic Island Ferry Vouchers are issued yearly. There is no replacement for lost or stolen vouchers. The vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
  • A maximum of 2 replacement Bus Transport Cards will be issued in any financial year if lost or stolen.
