The next Welcoming Babies Ceremony is here!

Welcoming Babies Ceremonies are held as a special event to recognise and officially welcome the youngest and newest members of our Townsville community. Participating families will receive a welcoming certificate, gift bag, native plant and a commemorative photo alongside the Mayor of Townsville.

The next Welcoming Babies Ceremony is being held in conjunction with the Townsville Babies & Kids Expo.

Families are invited to stay on and enjoy light refreshments after the ceremony and visit the market stalls.

Eligibility

Welcoming Babies Ceremonies are held as a special event for our city's youngest residents and their families.
You and your child must be resident's of Townsville to qualify for this ceremony.
Your baby must not be older than 13 months at the date of the ceremony to qualify.
