KFS Capital Asset Management

Class Description: This class is designed for individuals who are Asset Custodians in KFS. This class covers how to search for an asset using the Asset Lookup screen, edit an asset using the Asset eDoc, change the location of assets using the Asset Location Global eDoc in KFS, and review an asset as the Asset Global Tag Reviewer. This class has a run time of 2.5 hours.

Note: KFS Online Training Prerequisite tutorials are located here. It is strongly suggested to go through the tutorials bofore attending training. There are 13 tutorials that will take approximately 60-75 minutes to complete. These tutorials will provide users with an understanding of how to navigate within KFS and will provide a baseline knowledge for classroom training.

No-shows and registration cancellations received less than 24 hours before class will be charged $25 to their departmental account.

Note: Directory ID is the ID used for logging into PHR and ARES
UID is your 9 digit University ID found on your PHR Timesheet.

Note:
 
In order to connect to the Kuali Financial System (KFS) users MUST already be connected to the campus VPN BEFORE trying to connect to the KFS. VPN Software is available via the IT Service Center and includes the download and software installation instructions.
 
Prior to registration please get authorization to attend classroom training from your supervisor.
