YP4 Partner National Summit Applications Form

About the National Summit

Young People For is a social justice incubator that provides life-long social justice leadership training to unlock the potential of young people historically left out of opportunity. We are a national network that centers black, brown, indigenous, disabled, and LGBTQ+ leaders in education, media, politics, business, government, and everywhere.

At this pinnacle event, we will convene over 200 young change makers from all 50 states, US territories, and the District of Columbia, who are leading movements, leading organizations and serving in public office across the country.

The theme for this National Summit is "Reimagining Progress." Recognizing the critical impact of this new decade, we’re challenging institutions and cultural barriers to better vision and strategize for the future we deserve.

There are many ways for partners to participate in the National Summit.

This form includes information about the following opportunities open to partners:

Lead an Elective Session Workshop

Elective Session workshops are for YP4 Fellows, Alumni, and partner organizations to facilitate workshops for the entire YP4 network. The Elective Session workshops will run concurrently Sunday afternoon for 60 minutes.  We look for workshops that are engaging and interactive rather than lecture based. Examples of topic ideas include how to start a nonprofit, facilitating leadership transitions, grassroots campaigns and canvassing, digital marketing, and more.

Topics for Elective Session workshops in the past have focused on building a particular skill set and/or offering up knowledge on a particular expertise the facilitator may have.

Your workshop may also be considered for the Alumni Track where Alumni are provided with trainings from partners and other Alumni tailored to their express needs.

There is no fee to present and YP4 will provide breakfast, lunch and lodging the night before.  We ask that you or your organization pay for travel to and from New Orleans.  No honorarium is available for presenters.

Please note:  If you will be using a powerpoint, worksheets, or any visual materials for your workshop, you are to send YP4 your presentation materials by Friday, January 24th to be reviewed and approved for compliance.  There will be no extensions for this date.  Failure to meet this deadline will result in you being required to present without any visual aids or supplemental materials.  Once materials have been submitted, no changes can be made to them.
